Nothing better than a steel bladed shovel or steel tipped, but don't want that ergonomic crap in my garage.

Re: NEW GAME ABOUT "NOTHING"
If i remember correctly, we left one of those steel-tipped shovels at the house in VA just outside DC. And one of our sleds in the crawlspace. 8 months later, we had one of those rare snowstorms here! I could have sold that $40.00 sled fer a hundred bucks! The sled we brought....I can still recall laying on it with my 1st wife laying on my back. I think we hit 50 mph going down this one hill that was a mile long! I still love my old "Flexible Flyer". She is my "Rosebud"....

Re: NEW GAME ABOUT "NOTHING"
We had a winter where we lived in Hollis Center, ME and it was one of those winters where it could not make up its mind...snow, sleet, freezing rain. We had this awesome hill that was a good half mile and there was nothing better than going down that ice cover hill at full speed with my sister trying to keep up with me and not hitting any of the trees in our path.
Of course we had this massive cedar out in the front yard that provided excellent protection from the elements. We tunneled in and there was nothing better as there was no way the wind or snow or even sleet could get to us.
These were about the best things that I remember about this house as the walls leaked, the roof leaked, and the basement flooded a number of times. What a freakin' nightmare this place was. We only stayed there for a few months while our new home was being built. We had to move out of the previous home on an elevated escrow and the new homeowner was willing to pay big money to have us out early. They essentially paid for our rent, heat, electric, moving expenses, and storage of anything we needed to move out quickly as the person buying the other house was a doctor. My parents figured they could not say no, but had no idea what they were saying yes to when agreeing to take on this house with all these issues.

I learned nothing more than don't walk in the water in the basement when it is less than 6 inches from the electrical panel. And my dad claimed I was unteachable
