Forum Down For Maintenance Tuesday April 16, 2019

Envesko, our web hosting service, will be migrating our forum to a new server on this date beginning at around 9am EDT.

They expect the migration to only take a few hours, but we are allowing enough time for the worst case should a problem arise.

Some users may find it necessary to clear their browser and DNS cache to pick up the new server IP address.

The migration of our forum has been completed.

Everything went smoothly and the forum was back up sooner than expected, at around 8:30am EDT.

The migration went very smoothly. We will just have to see how it performs over time.

I have not received a single thread update since the website update. I have tried various things to get it to pull through including posting to various threads and still not getting anything. Kind of frustrating actually.

I'm always " lurking from space " ya know. As for these notification issues, lets see if we can get it sorted out

CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER

If you find that you are no longer receiving notification emails from the forum like - "Topic reply notification" and "New private message" check your email spam folder. After the server migration on Tuesday, both Beaver and I found that we were no longer receiving these emails.

I use Gmail and it turned out that since the email messages were coming from a new server, Gmail was putting them in my spam folder.

I had to open each message and click on the "Not Spam" button to tell Gmail not to treat these messages as spam. I also went a step further and created a filter in Gmail settings to NEVER send messages from @shrgaragegang.com to the spam folder.

Ashley also made a software change to php.
