Re: The thoughts and prayer thread
Mrs HH's dad had been moved from recovery to cardiac ICU (normal procedure). We saw him briefly. He is still coming out of the anesthesia. Hospital staff is weaning him off the breathing tube so he can breath on his own. Then they can pull the tube. We came back to his house so we can take a nap and let the staff do their thing.
Thanks for everyone's thoughts & prayers.

Re: The thoughts and prayer thread
My dad got a pace maker yesterday which is necessary for about 20% of heart valve replacement patients. He is doing well and was moved this morning from the cardiac ICU to a regular room. We will be going up shortly to see him. We're not sure how long he will have to be in the hospital.
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

Re: The thoughts and prayer thread
We met with his heart valve surgeon this morning. He decided to keep him one more day for some additional walking physical therapy. He may come home tomorrow but we're concerned about him going back to living alone.
Thanks for the continued thoughts & prayers.

We will be going up shortly to see if the doctor believes he is ready to go home or not. While we would like to see him home, we don't want to risk his safety if he's not really ready.

Re: The thoughts and prayer thread
Dad was released from the hospital yesterday. So far so good, but there is so much to do in the next 30 days. I'm buried in discharge paperwork.
Thanks again for all your thoughts & prayers. It really helped!
