The thoughts and prayer thread
I remember on the old site we had a thread to keep friends, members, and family members in our thoughts and prayers. I did not see it listed on here yet and thought it would be a good time to start it where I have one that has come across my desk tonight.
Tonight I received a phone call informing a mother of three was taken to the hospital for a cardiac event. We are not sure at the moment if it was a stroke or a heart attack. She is only about 40 years old. She has twin daughters age 13 and a son age 11. Her husband is about 45 years old. This family is heavily involved in our youth program, so this hits kind of close to home. She also is very health conscience and into working out as well. For this to happen to somebody so young and in such great shape just boggles the mind. Any thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Re: The thoughts and prayer thread
I went to visit with the kids today to see how they were doing. I know how something like this can disrupt their young lives. I was able to find out more about their Mom.
She had another heart attack last night, not good. The doctors did several tests and found a collapsed artery in her left arm. The doctors said it could be treated with medication and if everything goes well she should be released late tomorrow afternoon or Saturday morning. The doctors said that after running some blood tests they found some enzymes that should not be there. I guess if you are going to have heart attack, it is best to have it in the hospital.
I will get to spend more time with the kids tomorrow.

Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers...Mom came home yesterday afternoon and is resting.
Re: The thoughts and prayer thread
Well, on Monday February 6th I'll be off to the hospital at 0 dark thirty for another surgery--this time to put a stent in my pelvis area which hopefully will help with my leg issues. As long as all goes well there won't be any overnight stay...let's hope there aren't any complications so I can return home and be on the road to recovery Monday afternoon! Sure hoping it works and that all the pain, numbness, swelling and etc. are only bad memories soon .
