Glad that your friend wasn't seriously injured though a bit sore for a while.
NYS has a Distracted Driving (cell phone) law so if she was here charges against her would include that.
Hopefully she learns from it before she is involved something that turns out much worse.

If he had been driving his F250 Super Duty instead of his Chevy Sprint, she would have been toast. As his truck weighs more 5000lbs and his car weighs 2300lbs and that truck would have just barely budged if it had been hit and she would have received a whole lot more damage than he would have and he would have not slid at all.

Thoughts and prayers to those people tonite who are in the path of Hurricane Harvey... Texas will be hit hard.....We have good friends that live in Rockport across the street from the ocean....He is the mayor there and I know they are safe but I am sure their house was destroyed....We were stationed together at Scott AFB....They are such good people...SAD

Awsum 20 goes in for surgery tomorrow at 9:00 am
When she broke her shoulder 2 weeks ago, they just put it in a sling. Thinking it would heal itself
That didn't happen. Getting dressed and everything caused the break to move and now they have to
go and insert pins or a plate of some kind.

All's well and good for now
2 1/2 hrs in surgery and an 1 1/2 in recovery
They kept her over-night for observation and brought her home Friday
She's been feeling helpless 'cuz her right arm is tied up and she is right handed
Thank You all for the well wish's
(it's going to be a long few weeks.)

OH my goodness....so sorry about AWSUM 20.....Glad to hear she is doing ok....Now she and Tony have something in common...
