Is this uncommon that they drive their cruisers home...up here deputies, troopers, and local PD if they live within town or city limits all drive their cruisers home and some fire fighters with take home cruisers

All law enforcement, forestry units, game wardens, fire fighters are on call 24 / 7 /365 and anybody with a town, county, or state issued vehicle take it home with them with the exception of fire engines and ambulances.

Most towns purchase their own. However, ours is a contracted service and is located at the hospital in town. Bridgton, Harrison, Norway, Paris, and Oxford all have contracted services in our area. Hospitals in Bridgton and Norway.
