Patrick's Future at SHR Uncertain after 2017 Season......
Stewart-Haas Racing and Danica Patrick are reviewing their options about whether she will continue on as a driver for the team after this year, according to sources. Patrick is signed with SHR through '18, but there are clauses in her contract that could see the relationship end after this year, and the sides are discussing their choices, sources said. Patrick's nearly decade-long relationship with GoDaddy that spanned back to her time in IndyCar ended after '15, and SHR has run into challenges securing primary sponsorship. Nature's Bakery earlier this year backed away from its three-year, $45M deal after one season.

Maybe her 10th. place finish today will help.

Another article that Danica's time at SHR may be ending, https://usat.ly/2wijcOW, talks about how SHR is having trouble finding sponsorship money for not only her but Kurt and Clint also. She states she at peace with whatever happens and she has other opportunities.

As we all know, silly season is in full swing! Earlier this week Kevin mentioned, on his weekly broadcast, what an asset Kurt is to the SHR organization. Kurt said, this weekend, that he was hoping to get all the minor details ironed- out and the paperwork signed.
I would imagine Ms. Patrick feels the same. After all, PSP is still a sponsor's dream!

Totally agree. It seems teams are finding it harder and harder to secure sponsors. If I were a company looking to spend advertising dollars, I'd be very, very concerned looking at declining attendance (except for The Glen yesterday) and TV ratings.
NASCAR has thrown a lot of changes at the wall to see what sticks (improves attendance & TV viewership). Not much has worked.

What Danica lacks in finishes, she makes up in fan base....She draws in the younger crowd....They love her.....NASCAR needs to take this into its broader picture....we have diehard fans on our website in Alex and LILBEAVER ......Now I will admit she has wrecked a lot of cars, some not her fault...

Very true. She is popular and has a large, young fan base.

There is always a break clause somewhere, just encase performance lacks usually, otherwise it costs money to break the contract! I remember the rumours that she would make a switch to F1 with Haas, maybe if she is going to be out of contract, this will actually happen, though personally I think that'll be unlikely as women have found it incredibly hard to get into F1, not to mention any drivers getting in unless they have clear sponsorship and support. I guess only time will tell...
