Actually, a lot of us Dale Jr fans completed college and had successful careers. I did.alenigma wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2017 8:10 pmOh,yeah! Happy will get some heated comments from Joonyer Nation alright, but most of them can niether read nor write! I have always liked that Kevin shoots from the hip and takes no prisoners. Does best driver equal most popular driver? Not in Nascar!!!!!! I'll take a driver who is p1ssed off finishing second like the Busch brothers or Brad, Martin, Larson among many others.
Granted Dale Jr. is a very likable guy but results don't lie. I guess next year he will win the award for "Most Popular Sportscaster"!
If one wants to argue or question why the athlete with the most wins isn't the most popular, that's one thing. It happens with racing and with other sports too. If I picked my favorite driver based purely on wins and no other qualities that I find appealing, then I would not have been a Tony fan the last 3 years of his career. Pinning or blaming NASCAR's problems on one driver, or Dale Jr in particular, is straight up Bullsh*t. NASCAR's problems begin with Brian France and you can throw other factors like the general economy next.
