Apparently, Álex Palou has a race contract with both McLaren and Chip Ganassi Racing! He disputes this and says he'll be leaving CGR and moving to McLaren https://motorsports.nbcsports.com/2022/ ... ycar-2023/









It reminds me of when F1 driver Giedo van der Garde claimed he had a race contract for 2015 with Sauber and took the team to the courts!

Yes, Jimmie's sponsor is Carvana. However, Carvana is in trouble in several states for not providing Titles to their cars so that the owners can get them registered. Georgia, North Carolina and Florida are just 3 of the states investigating Carvana (and Vroom).

Obviously, I watch IndyCar on Sky Sports F1 in the UK. This year they've edited out some of the on-screen commercials and mentions, but the Carvana commercials were one of the worst when they started to take the NBC feed when they secured the rights from BT. I guess they thought they'd be better off taking the feed directly from NBC because the parent company of NBC, Comcast, also owns Sky UK and it would be cheaper or something.

Apparently the UK regulator OFCOM instructed Sky to remove or obscure the US adverts as they are irrelevant to the UK audience and highly annoying! Also, we usually get uninterrupted coverage, so while NBC was on commercials, we used to get silence and a break in pictures, usually cutting to helicam or randomly onboard with drivers, meaning you can't see the racing! Apparently, Sky went back to the IndyCar world feed as it's a lot cleaner and enables them to be more flexible, including providing bespoke commentary while the US broadcast team are on a break.
