Our Forum Will Be Moving Monday April 27 - COMPLETED!

I received the following email from Brandin at Envesko Services a short time ago. More specific information to follow.

This is good news. The HostDime data center in Orlando is the one we were originally on when Ashley first took over hosting our forum. They were always more reliable than the data center we are on now in Kansas City.

This message is to notify you of exciting new changes to Envesko! We are happy to announce we are returning to our partnership to locate services with HostDime and migrate to their data center in Florida. This migration will allow us to continue to sustain our shared and virtual services that are growing at a rapid pace. This increase in business also puts an even higher demand than already existed on uptime and availability and mitigating offline risk to our clients. In recent months, since we migrated to the Kansas City data center, we have unfortunately been faced with an incredible amount of unforeseen circumstances including network and hardware issues, that were never anticipated and with poor communication from our team on the floor of our data center. Due to this, we are deciding that for the best interest of our clients, we return to our former provider.

With this comes the announcement of a 7-day maintenance window. Rest assured, while that is a large time, your services will not be unavailable for this entire time. We have worked with our partners on both sides to ensure both servers can be live at the same time, allowing us to migrate clients to our new, more powerful server in Florida. This will come with changing IPs and temporarily assigning new nameservers, and we will be sure to communicate on this further.

You will receive a notice in the next 48 hours to confirm your exact expected downtime so you can communicate this to your users . We anticipate little downtime in this change and will make sure that we make arrangements to avoid impact as best we can. The client portal, Twitter and the Status site will remain up and available the entire time, and we will provide updates as they are available.

FORUM TO BE DOWN MONDAY, APRIL 27, BEGINNING AT 9PM EASTERN FOR 2 TO 8 HOURS



This message is to follow up on the maintenance information provided yesterday. We are scheduling the maintenance for your account on Monday, April 27, 2020 beginning at 9pm Eastern. We expect the migration to take between 2 and 8 hours. It is unlikely for the maintenance to take 8 hours however we are preparing the entire window in cases of poor download or upload speeds in the migration. This time includes maintenance for:
-Shut down and backup of the server
-Upload, transfer and download of server
-Unpacking and loading of server
-Restoration of all accounts

Completing this migration for shared services in one go versus account by account exponentially speeds up the process. Immediately after the server is turned off, we will update our nameservers to avoid delays in your site loading on the new server. We expect that by the time the new server goes live, DNS will be propagated and displaying the new server. No action is required from your end as long as your domain is using our nameservers (ns1.envekso.com and ns2.envesko.com) or a domain belonging to us.
