Words of the past that seem relevant today

Post by beaverpond »

Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future.

My choice early in life was either to be a piano player in a whorehouse or a politician. To tell the truth, there's hardly a difference.

Unfortunately, there are still groups out there who think they are entitled to special rights. Groups in ME and NH tried to attain special rights status and failed but they got enough votes in both states that I don't think we have seen the last of them, this took place last spring.

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.

We are a nation of many nationalities, many races, many religions-bound together by a single unity, the unity of freedom and equality. Whoever seeks to set one nationality against another, seeks to degrade all nationalities.
