Re: NEW GAME ABOUT "NOTHING"
make that four showings for today now
We have a glorified open house by appointment only going on.
The property owner and realtor have said I have done my job well because there is a lot of interest in the property which could turn into a bidding war. I have not seen nothing like it on this property in the last three times it has gone up for sale. This should be interesting.

Nothing better, it is official, there is a bidding war with three bidders. I should hear tomorrow who the winner is.

Trying to flip that house was nothing but a huge financial loss.

Re: NEW GAME ABOUT "NOTHING"
We have a property like that here in town that the town has on the auction block in two days. The town wants nothing more than to have the building torn down and for whoever the highest bidder is to build whatever they want on the 5+ acres of land. They want $40,000 for the property, gosh I don't think the land is worth that, but there is several thousand in court fees and back taxes owed on that property plus the town would like to make a little profit on the deal.

$40,000 for 5+ acres is nothing to sneeze at.

Re: NEW GAME ABOUT "NOTHING"
The "after" looked nothing like the "before." Then came the Great Recession of 2007-08 and there was nothing we could do to get the house sold to break even never mind make a profit. We had tenants in there on a lease/purchase but when the time came, there was nothing they could do to get a mortgage.

Re: NEW GAME ABOUT "NOTHING"
There are still four more segments to this building. The town cost to tear it town and haul it away is $25,000 which sounds like a good price to me considering the size of the building. The town is willing to do it for this much for whoever purchases the property and add the cost onto the purchase price if the buyer agrees.
