Re: Goooood Morning SHR- Saturday
7* here in town this morning with just a slight breeze
-3* up on Mount Washington and with the windchill it is -37*
I have been trying to get some numbers together on how many were left in the dark during and after the storm moved out yesterday morning....well there were more than 125,000 customers without power across the state and now there are still more than 20,000 customers without power at this hour.
However a few private companies have donated their drones to fly over areas where there are transmission lines and this has saved the utility crews days worth of work because now what they used to have to do by foot and ATV through the woods of Maine is now getting done in just a few hours time and relayed back to the power companies. This has been a huge time saver as they now know where the problems are and can get straight to them. To deal with this many without power would have taken weeks and now they have taken care of this many in just hours. Quite an accomplishment.

I saw the national weather map on the news last evening and it looked like you guys were getting walloped pretty good. Stay safe! (and warm)
