Gosh, is this so true...so many have been found dead lately in the Northeast having been diagnosed with lead poisoning. Not a good thing by any stretch.

That means the lead is in their food supply, mainly fish. In the 60's we were taught that the high levels of lead made the shells of their offspring thin resulting in less new births. For the lead levels to kill adult birds, means something horrible is being allowed to happen.

It is isolated to a certain part of the state and each of the bald eagles has been found with lead weights which means somebody is using illegal fishing gear
