As little snow as I get...I made a snowman about 11 years ago. The bottom 2 balls were all the snow in the front yard. I rolled his head from the back-yard. It was full of brown leaves. He was most peculiar! At least, he had personality.

I think Annalee's power went out sometime around 8:00 last night. Haven't seen anything from her since. I browsed the site this morning...my power was off between 12:45 and 2:45 this afternoon. I managed to manually light our gas fireplace. I was about to light my good old trusty Coleman lantern when the power came back on. I had tested it and my Coleman camp stove in early October when the hurricane was on the way. And yes, I was a scout and I never forget the Scout's Motto....Always Be Prepared!

Just measured 8" on the ground and 12" on the vehicles
And still coming down.
Suppose to start letting up in the next couple of hours

Up to 17 inches in the backyard and climbing.....This is the most snow I have seen since I was living in New Hampshire....long time ago....We are fortunate still have power ....Come on !!

Annalee, it sounds like your power provider was ahead of the game. Awsum, your power providers sound like they are also ahead of the game! I smell chicken Alfredo cooking.....I smell garlic bread and mustard greens....this is gonna be good!

Many in the Greenville County School District of SC are without power and have been for several hours. Last check by my friend RG, there were more than 20 schools without power and no ETA on when it will be back on

I hope most of them, heck, all of them were as well prepared as I am. I am fixing to enjoy a hot meal. May the good Lord have mercy on the less fortunate....Amen.
