That is always nice when you can think of him as your hero.

I felt that way about one aunt, two uncles, my grandfather, and my grandmother. They were all heroes in my book, any time you make a positive impression like these did, they belong in the Lambs Book of Life.

You are gonna be a hero to many. I don't have any children but, I have dozens of nieces and nephews that call me unka Al.
I have always loved cradling an infant just right and giving them a bottle and, of course asking for a towel...because you know what happens when you burp them.
At that age, they are such perfect humans, they haven't formed opinions.

At my Pop's funeral, Thursday, We were exposed to covid. Turns out my brother's youngest grand-daughter tested positive Saturday.
For Momma's sake, we all hope she wasn't a viral spreader at the time. We have our fingers crossed.

Everyone that was there should watch for symptoms and get tested, just to be on the safe side.

Awsum, I am so sorry. You and your daughter will be in our prayers.

I can't think of anyone who has not been affected by this in one fashion or another. You, my friend, have paid the ultimate price and for that I am so sorry. May God wrap his loving arms around you and your family during this time.

My turn I guess...

Over the weekend my cousin, (Kellie) who was a couple years older than myself to the exact day, she passed away to a rare non-curable form of cancer. The worse part of this is that she lost her four year old daughter to this same rare type of cancer about twenty five years ago.

Her mom, dad, husband, and daughter were with here. Her son was enroute from the middle east on an emergency transport. Both her kids are in the Air Force. Her daughter was home on leave and had just arrived home when she learned what was going on. They had only learned about the cancer less than a month ago.

To top it all off, her dad is also battling cancer, but a different type. My cousin's sister (Lorrie) had come home from Texas to help take care of her dad. She did not know about her sister until a few days before she passed away.
