Re: Official Garage Gang Hangout Raceday Points Club II
The heat index here Friday was 111 degrees...It made me sick. I was sweating so much that my kidneys weren't getting flushed.
I'm supposed to play an outdoor gig today and I just don't know. The humidity is lower today so I may go for a little while.

Re: Official Garage Gang Hangout Raceday Points Club II
yesterday we went from the 82 down to 62 back up into the mid 80s down to the 59 back up to mid 80s then down to the low 50s last night. We had one one storm front after another moving through. It was crazy. Spent a lot of the day on the road. It certainly was one way to wash most of the pollen off all our vehicles. The down pours were insane. Many people were pulling over because they could not see. Not me, I went around them all and just kept pushing forward.
Today as of right now it is 59. My wife is freezing and I am like, open all the windows. We will actually cook something warm for something. No cold food for supper tonight. Sounds like a good night for lobster, clams, and shrimp. I am getting sick of cold sandwiches and salad as that is what we have had for the past several days. I am not a rabbit, I need some meat.

A visionary and transformative figure in both business and entertainment, Ollen Bruton Smith, the founder and executive chairman of Sonic Automotive, Speedway Motorsports and Speedway Children’s Charities died today of natural causes. He was 95..

Rest in Peace, Bruton. I have been to three races at CMS. We have a CMS flag at the shop that was dated before it became Lowe's Motor Speedway. I am going to carefully hand wash it and put it in the box of goodies going to some lucky fan out there.
The goodies start with a pair of Tony Stewart Home Depot hats that have never been worn. I'm thinking about adding some Racing programs from Darlington's early years...Poppa couldn't take them with him.
