Cole Custer’s team has been penalized following the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Michigan International Speedway.
The splitter was confiscated from the car during Friday inspection.
The penalty assessed was an L1:
Sections 14.4.3 C & H: Splitter
Note: Except as specified, splitters must be used exactly as supplied from the manufacturer.
Crew chief (Jonathan Toney) has been fined $25,000. Team and driver have been assessed with the loss of 20 points and 5 NASCAR Playoff points.
