Now that the storm is shifting more out to sea, we are going to see more snow out of this beast. Glad I don't live in VT where many of my relatives do...some are getting 12-18 inches and others are getting 18-24 inches. Meanwhile here in Maine where I live they are talking about 8-12 inches.

I hope it isn't the heavy stuff. I guess you're healed.

Just don't let her or the missus hurt themselves. I've got the feeling that they both tend to overachieve. You do too. Y'all be careful and safe.

Re: HOW ARE WE ALL DOING TODAY - JUST BECAUSE WE CARE
Mrs B will be working and I am letting her take the car as if I let her take the van or SUV then she has to clean off the roof and she is, well, shall we say kind of on the short side. At least if she takes the car for the next couple of days, then she can reach the roof. This will leave most of the snow removal up to the daughter and myself.
We found out the problem with the snowblower...the drive shaft in the auger is junk. It wiggles in ways that it should not. Trying to fix it would cost more than the snowblower did. So at some point in the future, I am looking for either a snowplow or a tractor with bucket loader in the front. One that will fit inside the carport.

Good Luck, Beav. I would try to find a Blower with a blown motor for donor parts...that's just me. I know you don't have time on your hands.

Re: HOW ARE WE ALL DOING TODAY - JUST BECAUSE WE CARE
We have gotten this far into the season...only needed a plow once. So not doing too badly.
We have had a lot of melting going on so the banks are a reasonable height right now.
Between shovels and snow scoops, We have done okay.
And we have generated a decent amount of our own electricity lately. Not complaining there either. May have to get back up there and do something about that after this storm. Generating some is better than nothing at all.

My son said they aren’t getting much snow mostly, wind and beach erosion…He lives two blocks from the ocean…Beav I think you won’t be getting as much snow as was previously predicted….Hope so for your sake… . My Aunt is sending me some photos of her 12 feet…If they are any good I’ll post them…

I go by the National Weather Service out of Gray as they are not far from us and they are a lot more accurate with their predictions than those wachadoodles on television. They have only been off once this season and we got a heavy wet snow instead of a light fluffy one but the inches were correct.
They are predicting a heavy wet snow and I hoping they are wrong, but so far it is not looking good for being wrong.

We have a distant cousin in the genealogy group that went to NH over the weekend. She went to visit some distant kinfolk of hers up there.
She sent Mom an email Monday evening saying she was stuck in an epic blizzard...no way in, no way out. She was gonna be there awhile!
