nothing worse than 495,000 without power. Tonight statewide I heard at the peak of the storm there were 277,000 customers without power and they said equates to almost half a million people without power and it will be days before they see power restored in many parts of the state. We were without power for 23 hours. Took some work to get the septic pump working. Need to go and check on some friends tomorrow. Their entire town is without power. The cell tower is not working in that area as it turns out. I was able to check the status of the different local towers. I always thought these towers had backup generators, massive ones. I guess it depends on the carrier or the damage near the tower.

Big changes in 2021. New house, new town, new furniture, new appliances, new heating system, new backup generator, totally out in the country...basically we are doing a do over. Moving in mid January. TWO MORE WEEKS>>>ONWARD !!!!

New house? I hope the lot was cleared so nothing can fall on your new house. Congratulations to you and the family. All of these new HVAC and other appliances should lead to lower bills in the future. BTW, do you specifically need air conditioning?

I can tell you it is doing more than nothing outside.

We have freezing rain, sleet, and snow all once right at this very minute...nope, not going anywhere today, not in this mess.
